Hannah Orthodontics is led by Dr. Richard Hannah and Dr. Gretter Hannah, both orthodontic specialists and both diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. They treat patients across all five Kansas offices, and the practice has operated since 1959.

Both doctors are orthodontic specialists - each completed a full-time residency in tooth movement and facial growth after dental school, and each treats nothing else. Both doctors completed full-time orthodontic residencies after dental school, and they plan and guide your care from your first visit to your last. They also both practice across all five offices, so your care does not depend on which location is nearest - your records travel, and so do your doctors.
Dr. Richard Hannah
Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics
A Kansas native who grew up in rural Olathe and graduated from Spring Hill High School. He earned his dental degree at UMKC, practiced general dentistry in Montana for two years, then completed his orthodontic residency and Master of Science in Dentistry at Indiana University. He joined the practice his grandfather founded in 1959.
For Dr. Richard, the part of the job that does not get old is seeing how a finished smile changes the way someone carries themselves.
Dr. Gretter Hannah
Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics
Born in Cuba and raised in the United States from age eight, Dr. Gretter studied at the University of Florida and UMDNJ before completing dental school at Howard University and her orthodontic residency and Master of Science in Dentistry at Indiana University.
For Dr. Gretter, the confidence patients leave with is a bigger result than the alignment itself.
What Board Certification Means
Both doctors are diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Certification is voluntary. It requires an orthodontist to present completed treated cases to a board of examiners, defend the clinical reasoning behind them, and renew periodically - a specialist choosing to have their finished work assessed by their peers.
